App Permissions
Expense Lite requires certain permissions to provide comprehensive expense tracking and budget management features.
Storage Permission
Purpose: Data Storage & Backup
Storage access is needed to save your expense data, budgets, and enable backup/restore functionality.
- Save expense records and categories
- Store budget information and settings
- Create local backups of your data
- Export data to CSV files
- Only app-specific data is accessed
Internet Permission
Purpose: Backup Sync & Support
Internet access enables cloud backup synchronization and advertisement loading for the free version.
- Sync expense data to cloud storage
- Load Google Ads for free version support
- Check for app updates
- Send crash reports for bug fixing
Network State Permission
Purpose: Connection Optimization
Network state access helps optimize data synchronization and ad loading based on connection quality.
- Detect network connectivity status
- Optimize sync timing based on connection type
- Prevent data usage on metered connections
Optional Permissions
Enhanced Features (Optional)
These permissions are optional and enhance app functionality but are not required for basic use:
- Camera: Scan receipts and expense documents
- Contacts: Split expenses with contacts (optional)
- Location: Categorize expenses by location (optional)
Permissions We DON'T Require
Privacy Protection
Expense Lite does NOT require access to:
- SMS or phone calls
- Microphone
- Social media accounts
- Other apps' data
- System settings (except app preferences)
